My Yoga journey began over 10 years ago when I first started to go to Yoga classes with friends as a way of keeping fit and flexible. I found I not only benefitted from the physical practice, but also the mental and spiritual, as practising pranayama, mantra and meditation enabled me to develop an inner awareness and release any stress or tension in both my body and mind.

In 2022 I completed a 250 hour Yoga Teacher Training course with Abode Yoga, accredited by Yoga Alliance. This course specialised in Ayurvedic Yoga and the Healing Arts and I completed my Reiki Level One too. I started teaching weekly adult Yoga classes as soon as I qualified and have begun to offer mini Yoga Retreats too.

Amanda and I completed the Paws B training with the Mindfulness In Schools Project in 2017 and we started to teach Mindfulness to Primary school children. This then led us to writing a Mindfulness curriculum for age 3 - 11 year olds for ‘PhunkyFoods’, an award winning Early Years and Primary School programme of healthy lifestyle curriculum activities. We have written, and had published, a Stress and Wellbeing module for Anspear, a technology and educational publishing company and delivered training for educational staff in staff wellbeing. I also have 35 years experience of teaching in Primary schools.

Yoga has revealed itself to be so much more than a physical practice and I look forward to sharing the benefits of Yoga with you.
